have you got geeky hobbies / interests that you think will put women off? are you in a job that is really boring or dull and is a real conversation killer when you are talking to a woman in a club? chances are that when you are talking to women and these subjects come up you either (a) lie, you pretend to be someone else and have really cool interests or (b) you start to become really apologetic and self-deprecating - by doing this you are handing women the power to judge you - a woman will see your weakness, she will see the lack of passion, she will she you are uncomfortable.

You have to come across as unapologetic and show how passionate you are about whatever it is. - If you come across, say look this is who i am, i love this, and show zero embarrassment - the girls will only see that passion, they won't see the hobby itself, they will just be able to connect with you on your emotion to do with the subject / job you do.
